Original Fine Art Painting
Acrylic on canvas mounted on wood stretcher bars
20.4 by 25.5 cm, 8 by 10 inches
This is my new painting. I liked the overall scene but was not happy with the gray rocks in the background or the gray stack of lumber. I changed the colours to pink and green with orange respectively. The main colours (hues) are now blue, orange, green and red. These colours are 2 sets of complements. They are a tetrad; there are 4 colours equally spaced around the colour wheel. I also altered the shape of the rocks on the right. The rocks on the right were two shapes; the front rock and background rocks were divided by a thin strip of water. The shapes were not unified. I moved the front rock so it would overlap the back rocks. I changed the scene to meet my objectives.
