The images are of my
painting,
The Train, in colour and in
value (white through grays to black scale). The majority of my painting has light values. There are more mid values than black values. The
repetition of the black on the wheels and the bars to the train's front lights create
movement. The
diagonal shapes are evident. My colours are predominantly cool with some warm colours for contrast. The sunlight is from the right. The front of the train is in this light. The side of the train is the local colour. It is not in sunlight or shadow. Although not seen, the back of the train would be in shadow. The back of this train is lighter as it recedes from the viewer.
Prints, cards and more of this painting are on sale today at my Zazzle shop.
