I am considering the paintings I will display at my art exhibit this August. This painting, The Wreck, is a favourite painting. It has been sold as a print and received Zazzle’s Today’s Best Award. I like the triangular structural composition and the overlap by the wreck of the foreground, middle ground and background. The triangle is not on its base adding instability, tension and excitement to the painting. I used my much-loved colours (hues). This is a tetrad colour pattern. It has 2 sets of complements that are equally spaced on the colour wheel – orange, blue, red and green.
