Sketching - Male Head after Hals
This is a quick sketch I did of a male head after Hals. The light is coming from the right front. The form is considered a sphere. Therefore the form shadow on the left curves around the sphere. I love doing these quick drawings. They are expressive and I like doing hats. I have sometimes changed hair and added earrings to these works from the masters. When I sketch from life, I look for people with expressive hair, clothes, piercing and more.
