The next color approach I explore is post-impressionism. Post impressionist artists, i.e. Van Gogh (above painting), Gauguin, learned from the impressionists and further explored color to make expressive paintings. Van Gogh used pure complements and brushwork to achieve exciting and dramatic paintings.
