Secondary Focal Point in Art & Repetition

I wrote about focal points. It is recommended that there be a secondary focal point. This secondary point should be subtle and not detract from the main focal point. You can repeat colours, values and shapes. Even if you do not use a secondary focal point, subtle colours, values and shapes should be repeated elsewhere in the painting. You should also have contrasts in your painting. If the dominant value in your painting is light, add dark and mid tone values.
